Why a TrailBlazer?

Victor Bach Petersen, Sarah Møller Kristiansen and Magnus Kjeldgaard Nørholm, the founders of TrailBlaze

Some tasks are too small for a full-time position, but too important to wait. Our students bring new academic knowledge and a fresh pair of eyes straight into your organisation.

We are the employer and handle the contract and payroll, which means the path to the right skills is short.

You avoid a long recruitment process. We select each candidate based on both academic skills and personality, so they fit your tasks, needs and, most importantly, company culture.

This is how talent becomes TrailBlazers.

How it works

  1. Needs

We map out your needs and company culture. Free to get started.

  2. Screening

We find the right candidates among 700+ students from around 100 degree programmes.

  3. Match

You meet 2 screened candidates, often within 7 - 10 working days, and choose the right match yourselves.

  4. Start

The student starts with you, and you adjust the hours yourselves to suit your needs and tasks.

  5. Ongoing

We are the employer and handle the contract and payroll. After graduation, you can hire the student for DKK 0.

What we do for you

We find the candidates: Together, we map out your needs and company culture and assess the academic and personal background the candidate needs to both solve the task and contribute socially in your workplace.

We do this through interviews with several students, after which you receive 2 candidates who both meet the requirements of the role. You then choose the one who fits in best with you.

We are the employer: We handle contracts, some insurance, payroll, time tracking and social security costs.

We do this by employing the student while they study. Our contract ends when the student graduates. After graduation, you are free to hire the student yourselves.

Peace of mind: If the candidate turns out not to be a match, we find a new candidate for you.

If you need more students, we put together a team with exactly the skills you need. And when the student graduates, you can hire them with no fee.

Students who create value

Right now, students are solving specific tasks at companies in North Jutland, with everything from AI and software to sales, HR and ESG.

Often, these are tasks that get put off in everyday work: data that needs collecting, documentation that needs to be put in order, or an ESG report that needs writing. The student becomes part of your team and works closely with your employees.

Make AI and data work day to day

Many companies know that AI has great potential.

The hard part is getting started and making it work in practice. This is where a student who implements AI and digital tools alongside your employees can make the process smoother and better suited to your level and needs.

Development, testing, support and IT security

The list of IT tasks often grows faster than the permanent developers can keep up with.

A student in software, computer science or IT security can, for example, develop new features and test new releases. It could also be internal tools or a system migration where data needs to be moved. That leaves your permanent staff more room to focus on the bigger tasks.

Specialists who are hard to find

Documentation, test data and quality assurance often pile up when the technical projects are busy.

An engineering student can, for example, take on CAD and bills of materials, process documentation or CO₂ calculations. That gives your specialists more time for the tasks that require their experience.

Marketing, sales, finance and HR

Tasks in sales, marketing, finance and HR are often put off because daily operations come first.

A student can, for example, book meetings and keep the CRM system up to date, write LinkedIn posts, help with new bookkeeping routines or document compliance procedures. That way, the tasks get done on an ongoing basis instead of waiting.

Health tech, chemistry and biotech

In life science, quality, documentation and regulatory requirements take up a lot of everyday work.

A student in health technology, chemistry or biotechnology can, for example, help with quality assurance, laboratory tasks or data analysis. That gives your specialists more time for research and development.
